World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of certain numeric stats on armor, weapons and rings. They also boost extra bonuses like PvE damage and crit chance.

For instance an item with the upgrade template that ends in % will gain 3damage to attack each time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be put into armor, weapons and trinkets to provide an extra stat boost or effect while they're in use. These can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors trading or looting. Some upgrades can also be accompanied by special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into any equipment with a slot for them; the item must be at a minimum upgraded to blue level in order for the component to be used. Upgrade components, unlike other mods, can only be applied only once. They cannot be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and Enrichments are kind of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and ascending equipment, as other items that are not ascended. Enrichments and Infusions can be obtained by salvaging equipment from the ascended state or completing a mission in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade could be prefixed or a suffix that alters the name of the equipment to which it is applied (for instancefor example 'Canthan Armor Insignia is changed to Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, which lets players to create stronger versions of the item using the smallest amount of Upgrade crystals than they would need to reach the same level using standard methods.

A  boost upgrade can modify the attack or defense attributes of a weapon or armor. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist the upgrades can be crafted at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be purchased by purchasing them from the cash shop, or by getting them from enemies while upgrading other gear.

The player is able to have the maximum of five boost upgrades at a time. Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a better-quality version of the item will drop during the next reset. This gives players the opportunity to upgrade their equipment even in the event that they don't know how much it will be improved after a reset.

If a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process could be costly, and there is a significant risk that the item may be obsolete or even break if it fails; a failed upgrade will cause the destruction of Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. This is alleviated by the availability cash shop items to increase or even eliminate the possibility of failure, and some upgrades that provide a bonus when reinserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade components which can be put in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs increase the power of nodes within a radius, and include any existing attaches. Glyphs can be upgraded a variety of ways, and we recommend upgrading them to 15 levels as soon as you can.

You will often find in the endgame that putting Glyphs is the most effective method to upgrade your equipment. These are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded to level 15 and provide significant boosts to your power on the Paragon Board.

Most of the upgrades in the game can be replaced however, Glyphs are only the one upgrade component that can be removed and put back in place without any restrictions. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it from your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.

There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of a Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain unlimited-use gathering tools, and through Faction Crypt raids. Every Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs which you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs you'll require them to be placed on your gear. Each Glyph will grant a distinct bonus that will boost the stats of a specific set of nodes within a radius around the Glyph. This will either be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.

Utilizing Glyphs Glyph can boost all nodes connected to it, and it is recommended to position your Glyphs near the most important nodes of the Graph to maximise the impact. For instance that a Druid should try to place their Glyphs close to their primary damage points, but also consider placing them near critical damage nodes, too.

Leveling

The system of upgrading items allows players to improve the performance of certain items by placing upgraded components inside them. This is known as "upping". Each upgradeable item comes with an amount that determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum of ilvl 385.  item upgrading  requires a different amount of components to reach, and the upgrade costs increase as the item is advanced in level.

Some upgrades require a special ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or on the upgrade tab of a crafting table. Each completed Upgrade Recipe earns a number of Technology Points. These points can be used to leveling up an item. Once enough points are earned you'll be able to claim your upgrade and also receive the bonuses.

When a player upgrades an item, the base item is replaced with a different item of the same type. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into an weapon or shield once upgraded. The new item also has its own set of bonuses. This could be a drawback in that the item could be more expensive even if you don't need it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled, provided that the player has enough reroll tokens in order to do so. The item will be replaced by a brand new one that has a base of level 1 and completely different bonuses. This can be beneficial, but shouldn't be done often as it can waste resources.

Certain upgrades can be rerolled several times to increase their value, allowing the player to customize their equipment. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it provides a buff if the player is repeatedly in or exits the water. This can be upgraded several times, each time raising the maximum roll by a factor of 10. This item is very valuable in PvP. A perfectly rolled version can be worth 50 times the value of the non-upgraded counterpart.

Requirements

The  item upgrade r allows players to increase the level of their equippable equipment (armor weapons, armor trinkets, and weapons) above ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. The upgrade of armor set pieces will also increase the base defense of the item, and upgrading weapons will increase the base damage and required strength and dexterity to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.

Each item can be upgraded a maximum of five times, except for hero gear which can be upgraded with eight upgrades. Each time you upgrade an object, it is at risk of failing. The failure rate increases as you go over the maximum number. Failures can cause the item to return to its original condition which means that the player has to spend additional items than if they stopped upgrading after the maximum number.

If an item fails to upgrade the amount of experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it has gained like the chance to crit damage to attack, other effects (such as an increase in healing over time or reloading speed). The player is able to use their weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from the lowest to highest. This means that, should a weapon gain an increase in its crit chance the increase is applied before any increase in attack damage. Slots is a brand new attribute that has been added to item definitions. The value is calculated every time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item are based on its rarity rating and upgrade slot count. The cost of upgrading equipment that is not premium is equal to the value of the base item. For instance an item of common use could have five upgrades at a cost. 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items will have an incredibly lower cost for each upgrade.

Premium items have different requirements for upgrading in comparison to standard equipment. For instance, they might require fewer sowels but more minerals and erons. The player will still need to bring each piece of gear they wish to upgrade to the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade costs mentioned above, each equipment upgrade requires a different amount of the ingredients for upgrading.
